More questions than answers, there..

Are the offices still open and manned?

Why were you on the site? In what capacity?

Who did you meet, and why did you regard him as a useful source of information?

Offices are still open and manned and I am still here

I noticed you had taken to doing a bit of photo modelling for one of the recent articles,;D
The management thanks you for your co operation.

Couldn't find a reference to this on the Forum, so just to point out that South Crofty features in the BBC2 TV programme 'Simon Reeve In Cornwall' this week. Although at first looking like a standard travelogue, it actually considers industrial decline and job prospects for youngsters in the County, filmed in July 2020.
One of the sites visited is a visit underground to South Crofty hosted by mine manager Owen Mihalop. The Cooks Kitchen (?) engine houses are also shown.
It's a brief slot in a TV docu so no searching questions are asked but worth a look all the same.
Episode 1 is available to view on BBC I-player.[i]

It is definitely worth a watch although it doesn't totally fill you with confidence for the future of Cornwall. Or Wales. Or Yorkshire. Or Scotland. Or anywhere else where second homes and their surrounding economy are the only "industry" making money. The woman living in the tin shed watching RangeRovers, Audis, Mercs and campervans stream past her front door was a particular low point :(
