List price will be £25 but there is currently a subscription offer of £23.99 for collection, higher for postage. For details contact the Mining Museum.

I would strongly advise contacting the Mining Museum before paying anything to WH Smiths - this may be a deal previously agreed with Horizon, but not binding on PDMHS.

A Trilogy is 3 parts and this is four albeit published by others. I still have copies of the other volumes for sale too but not many.

There is certainly no widespread Amazon / Smith massive discount due to the short run leading to high printing costs

Just for clarification, it was originally intended for the set to be a trilogy but it overspilled, and needed a fourth volume to fit everything in (does that make it a quadrilogy? 😉 ).

Either ways, I think it will only be available through the museum, a few local outlets, and specialist sellers like Mike so treat any of the big sellers apparently offering it at a knock-down price with caution, as they may be assuming PDMHS will let them have it at cost....

The comment was tongue in cheek, truth is Landmark got themselves into trouble providing bigger discounts to Amazon et al and then needing to clear stock quickly remaindered the books. A pime example was Collieries of South Wales vol1 I sold a significant number of copies (40+) , when Volume 2 came out they played sill games and net effect I sold and stocked only 5 copies. I did have a couple off them at the end but the moral here is sell cheap and eventualy people like me simply stop selling and stocking and as a result they didn't make margins.

I fail to understand publishers logic yes the big boys will turn over vast numbers of books but if you make bog all on them whats the point of being in business. Luckily there are lots of independantly produced books that I stock that not undermined by this suicidal practice.
