Hi I am researching the Blee family history and I am trying to find details of a miner working at Swanwick colliery in 1948 and onwards his name was Hugh Alphonsus Blee at the time he was living at the miners hostel Alfreton.
Are there any records kept for miner working there at that time or staying at the hostel. Hugh may have been Scottish?
his daughter Maureen was born in Edinburgh in 1948

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
