Part of the Mining Museum "New Pit", a simulated underground experience built in the old railway cutting along side the shafts after the actual underground access was stopped with the closure of Wolstanton Colliery.
The "New Pit" never fitted into the plans (whatever they are?!) and was demolished a couple of years ago after a small collapse.

Many of the artefacts, machinery, etc., was retrieved but lots were damaged. Not sure what condition this Dintheader was in before, but would put money on the damaged being done by the careful removal by a very large excavator 😠 :curse:
