I am currently working on a new edition of my Historical Map of the Birmingham Canals, and seek a map showing the layout of the existing and disused canals within the Dudley mines which is reasonably to scale and related to surface features. I have Steve Powell's excellent 1999 publication on the limestone mines which covers most of the main tunnels and branches, but his maps are sketched rather than to scale and it is difficult to make the data fit an OS map. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Also on this subject, is there any evidence that the canal tunnel reached further into Mons Hill mine than shown on Steve's map (p44), or had any arms or branches?
