Wednesday, 23rd May, 1821 there was a serious accident at Norcroft Colliery when 11 miners lost their lives. Does anybody know where the exact position of the mine was. At the moment there are numerous suggestions which it was. We know it was close to Norcroft on Norcroft lane near Cawthorne.
