Just done the through trip from brandy bottle the last fall on hard level just before the entrance (first fall if you come in hard level entrance) was blocked had to spend some time clearing to get out it is still very loose and unstable just a word of warning for anyone planning a visit

This is an air shaft to surface. I remember it being bit of a problem in 1961.

As I understand it this air shaft was blocked by the mid 60’s and was cleared by Earby,
They did a very good job, in my opinion, since it has remained open since that time.
I agree it getting through it is not a walk in the park, but you have to be carefu!
Not easy when you are crawling through that water!
