Hi All
Hope you are all well ;D
Have been venturing underground for over 27 years now!
Enjoyed mining around the uk, caving, srt and exploring the slate mines many years ago in the past.
Now the knees are catching up with me so having to reduce the skiing, mountain biking and mountaineering and returning to the slightly easier mining and introducing the missus who does everything active too.
Used to explore the slate mines of North Wales and mines of the north pennines nearly 12 years ago now?
Be good to get back in there again!
Being reading this forum on and off lately and it would be good to catch up with the state of the areas, access and mines today.
Have a week in Snowdonia next week so be a good chance to do some good walks and nip down a few levels again get back into it!
Chat soon.
Andy:thumbsup:

Hi Andy
Nenthead continues to be free access thanks to Peter J and his friends, Cwmystwyth in central Wales is now in possession of the mining community through the Cambrian Mines Trust, Cwmorthin is now being cared for and access maintained by Friends of Cwmorthin, so lots out there to do and few hoops to have to jump through.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

Thanks, have been in touch to request the gate numbers!
