I worked at Radford from 1948 to about 1962 in various jobs including coal face.
Any knowledge or interest might just jog this old brain and I would love to see photos.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks TY.
Bit slow at the moment and am trying to find out how to get to Coal Pro Boards.
I noticed you mentioned Cotgrave and have sent a message to that person you advised to also go to Coal Pro Boards as I remember that mines sit before even the first sod was dug. Small world.

If you live in Nottinghamshire, your local library computers will give you free access to the British Newspaper Archive. It has over 200 hits for Radford Colliery but none after 1950.

🅱Mick, your name is familiar, I worked at Clifton from 1964 to 1968, then was transferred to Cotgrave where I finished my apprenticeship.
When Wollaton closed, we had a few transfer to Clifton, several had worked at Radford up to closure and were absorbed at Wollaton. The ones I worked with were electricians, Ernie Gerrard, big Dave Watson etc. Both those fellers were ex Radford.
