Hi everyone, I'm not a general mining enthusiast but am interested in the Hall O'Lee Colliery near Kidsgrove/Church Lawton through other historical research I am carrying out on the person who set up this mine in 1792. Is there anyone else out there, including ICLOK who has posted photos of a visit in 2012, who has further knowledge about this colliery or is interested in information I have gathered about it.
I'd be glad to hear from you.

Ooh, yes please, Hall o' Lee is one of my interests, especially the tramroads and railway links. I would certainly be interested in what you have found.

The accounts for 1868-1896 are at Cheshire Records Office DTO/313

Staffordshire Record Office has:
Hall O’Lee and Stanfield Collieries
Shareholders list 1874 4229/6-7 SRO
Correspondence 1873-1935
Reports 1885-1899
Plans 1874-1891

Cheers,
jez.

You are welcome to pop round to my house if you're anywhere near Newcastle or we could meet maybe at Apedale museum.
The map is quite big, about 4ft square so if you want a copy it would probably be best to photograph it.
