I am trying to find any information on my grandfathers life down several Warwickshire Pits, we still have various locker keys etc from the different pits and also during the second world war my grandfather was in the Leicestershire Fire brigade and worked down the pit and so never went to fight.

I have keys from the Tunnel, and also know that he was injured quite badly down Baddesley pit while on a rescue team.
He also worked at several other pits, not sure but Arley Colliery I think is on one set of keys.
Being born into a mining family my grandfather was born in Hartshill on Malt Shovel Row and when Married moved to Hinckley but continued to work down the Pit. His brothers were also employed down the pits or at Mancetter Granite Quarry.
Any information or ideas on how I can find out more would be greatly appreciated
