A couple of choices Cobba. Either enter the pit yourself into the DB or if that's a problem post the name(s) of the relevant pits here and I'm sure someone will oblige. It's also maybe possible it's in the DB under another name. Hope this helps.
The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

This is me losing my cherry on Aditnow with my first post! 🙂

This is a nice collection of banners. I was really pleased to see again the Cotgrave Branch banner, as I did my face training at Cotgrave on Blackshale K1s in 1986 The main part of the pit was dedicated to workings in the Deep Hard/Soft but K1 was the first face in the Blackshale and was blessed with appalling roof and floor control issues. While the pit worked through the strike, I recall that the Blackshale men were predominately NUM men who had stayed out during the Strike. I really enjoyed my time there; a formative experience that has stayed with me all my days!

http://www.aditnow.co.uk/photo/Hatfield-Main-Coal-Colliery-User-Album-Image-37862/  ] is incorrectly attributed to Hatfield Main. The Armthorpe Branch was the local name given to Markham Main Colliery in the village of Armthorpe (Doncaster).

If you look at the banner, the figure depicted is Jock Kane who was NUM branch secretary of the NUM Armthorpe Branch at Markham Main Colliery. There is a cracking record of his life and work as a NUM activitist to found here:

thanks for that mate
On the march where the pics of the Cotgrave banner were taken i,d met the Hem Heath lads and got a Cotgrave NUM badge of Alan Bibby
Must say i think their banner is a personal favourite, socialism rising out of the ashes of capitalism
i have read Jock Kanes autobiography this year, very powerful
I hope as i make further mistakes they,ll be pointed out as quick ie Lancs areas Plank lane branch covered more than one pit and S.Wales has the same set up
all the best
