That's excellent! Would you be able to e-mail me this at [email protected] and would it be ok to use in the book? Due credit given. This nicely gives a view of the stonework that must have appeared in 1971-72 around the entrance to the mine.

BeamishCurator's book about Samson the loco at Cornish Hush is now in print as is available at Beamish and no doubt elsewhere. Loads of information about mines and mining activity as well as many photos from the past and now. I've just bought a copy and it's very good.

For engineering types there is a load on the building of the replica as well.
