I have a lamp and have bought a magnet to unlock it but is seems to be stuck in the locked possition can any one tell me how to open it? 😞

If it's really stuck, you could remove the rivit from the opposite end of the lock & replace it with a brass nut and bolt. This will allow just enough movment of the arm to allow dismantling of the lamp (the mag lock pin now becomes the hinge in effect).
I'm assuming it's a Protector lamp & it dosn't need to be M&Q complient anymore.

Try a spray of WD40 and let it soak in for a bit, then try the magnet again while gently taping the top of the lock with a SMALL hammer. Good luck. 🙂
