One or two people on here know I have a habit of throwing everything into the washing machine after a few underground trips ๐Ÿ˜ž

Unfortunately, and accidentally, I chucked my Sten in as well yesterday (bundled up in an overall). After an hour and a half of fast spin and hot soapy water, aside from being a bit scuffed at the edges, it's absolutely fine.

Not terribly relevant, but I was impressed

That makes a pretty good review for the Sten I think

Would never happen in this house!
I don't know how the washing machine works and her ladyship is very diligent about checking pockets ::)

my old Premier 'stinky' has been through the wash a couple of times, my mum used to keep an old twin-tub in the garage for overalls and work clothes

never tried it with the Oldhams though

Discovered my Fenix in the washer one night cos the kitchen was like a disco, it had got switched on in there and was sending SOS signals while churning about.
Came out with flat batteries but otherwise fine.

You would have a job accidentally throwing one of my lamps into the washer, see the size of them!

I would imagine an Oldham would beat a washing machine to death fairly rapidly ๐Ÿ™‚

Itโ€™s the battery that would do the damage.
