Just been walking past Great Oak Books in Llanidloes and noticed a poster in the window advertising a new book available now on mining in Mid Wales:
"Worn by Tools and Time" by Ioan Lord.

Wasn't able to find a price or have a look at it unfortunately.

What areas does it cover, as I'm mostly interested in the Llanidloes, Dylife, Van areas?

It's a broad history of metal mining in mid Wales. It has some mentions of Van and Dylife but I wouldn't say it covers them.

There is more material for those interested in Cwm Rheidol and Cwmystwyth, but it's worth having on your shelf;D

If your interested in Dylife, then Michael Browns book is a must have. But be sure its the second edition which is hardback so easily identifiable.
