* Spirit of the Miners is a community regeneration project that sets out to create an identity for northern Ceredigion using the legacy of metal mining as a theme for regeneration. The project aims to raise awareness of the importance of the former metal mining industry of the county by encouraging community initiatives through a grant scheme, a web site and other promotional activities. The project has been set up by Ceredigion County Council and funding is made up of contributions from European Objective 1 European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF), Welsh Assembly Government’s Local Regeneration funds and Countryside Council for Wales.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
