Good link Jimbo,
I was well aware of the industrialisation of the Swansea Valley, and the number of Copper Works in the lower part,it was the mention of Llangyfelach that threw me,as i`d never heard of Copper smelters there, never realized the parish was so large,a mistake i made before when i never realized a Neath parish actually came over the mountain down to the river Tawe where the Llwyn Du Colliery was situated near Glais.
Like Jimbo`s article states, the omission of the industry in the Swansea Valley,Coal was mined here while sheep still roamed the Rhondda Valley`s,lol,
Its history is vast, but needs a new large thread to accomodate.
