The Internet Archive is a repository of media in the public domain. A couple of titles that may be of interest to forum members are as follows. Cut and paste the file name in inverted commas to download the publication in pdf format. The first is "coalfieldsscotl00stonrich.pdf". The title is The Coalfields of Scotland by Robert W Dron, published in 1902. It will of interest to the person seeking more information on coal mines in the Sorn area. The second is "georgiusagricola00agririch.pdf". This is the english translation from the first latin edition of 1556, translated by H C Hoover and L H Hoover. If you decide to have a search for more items of interest then check the quality of scanning before downloading. There are files with poor quality scanning, foldouts not scanned correctly and creased/distorted pages. There are umpteen files available with a mining connection. Enjoy the site, I have not had any unwelcome guests on my PC from the Internet Archive. The software section is best left alone, most of it is cracked and may contain things that will foul up your day.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
