Great that this piece of film is still out there. Superb that it captures the construction practices of the day, but a real inside look at how normal people earned a crust.

Article that mentions miners getting the bends and a few fatal accidents. Progress is such that if that happened today it would be all over the national news.

It's a safer world for workers now. I am grateful for that.

The sea tunnel/caisson workers at Aberthaw Power Station had the 'twitches' from (previous?) long term working in compressed air.

Edit: Although we had walked the coastal path many times it was 2016 before we found out what the rusty smudge was in our images!:offtopic:
