Following on from a certain person's comments about industrial archaeologists this came to mind...

Cost £3 for a 14cm x 14cm or £5 for 20cm x 20cm

I'm going to be ordering a couple tomorrow, does anyone else want one?

I don't think I need any more reasons for gamekeepers to box my car in.

Don't wish to be a killjoy but....

I remember advice a while ago not to have caving stickers and the like on a car, since ne'er do wells can be assured you're probably away for a while and out of sight and therefore be emboldened to break in. 😞

and if they did break in, they'd find some wet overalls from last time, get ochre all over themselves and not find any treasure

I also, feel it is best not to draw any attention to what we are doing.
I always cover up any gear in my vehicle with the appropriate cover and try, if possible to look like a 'hill walker' with all gear safely stored away in my rucksack.
A few years ago we had a white 90 Landrover, which whilst very appropriate for our activities was easy to recognise and lead to 'notices being left on it' which were not very pleasant and having the inference that we should not be there at all!

I often leave a child's booster seat, and a couple of cuddly toys on the seat to give the impression that I might be back any minute as toddlers don't walk far.

I never leave anything that advertises 'mine explorer' - the lower the profile the better.

We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

They do have a sucker on so you can replace it with a 'sad git on board' notice of your choice when parking in sensitive areas.
I was thinking more of using it for normal use to replace the Baby I'm Bored one I had on my last car...

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
