I recently happened upon the archives on the Teesdale Mercury that have been made available online.

The searching isn't brilliant as a lot seems to be OCR from poor copies, but still I found a huge amount of information very quickly.

I've dropped it all into this file incase its of use to anyone with an interest in the area, I suspect there are vast amount of information in the archive for people willing to dig.

I wouldn't blame it on the OCR. There's a few on here from Teesdale and that's pretty much how they talk... 😉
