I had at least two generations who worked in the coal mining industry and I am trying to gather support to save our local Landmark Coal-fired Cockenzie Powerstation Chimneys which is now being decommissioned. I am trying to preserve just the chimneys as a monument to the miners and power workers. Tranent where I live had 900 years of mining history that has come to an end and I am trying to symbolise this with the chimneys (149m) that look like two burnt out matchsticks see artist impression. Please could members please sign online petition thanks.

Matchsticks are appropriate when you consider how often these two groups were striking.
