Original "Forsyte", yes. I, Claudius was BBC.

Timothy West's portrayal of Josiah Bounderby must be one if the most vivid Dickens comic villains anywhere; at least as good as Oliver Reed's genuinely 'orrible Bill Sykes

BBC also made the 1995 Pride and Prejudice which introduced a then-second-string actor called Colin Firth to wider attention...

Sorry, 80s eco-loons don't get a look in. Survivors did it all, much better, ten years before.

Also one bonus point to the Beeb for paying Julie Graham's wages, once described as "a one-woman festival of nudity" - surely a public service of some kind!

I'm hoping to get a definitive answer on the locations this Sunday as I should be seeing the guy who did all the physical effects on the show and I believe also helped pick the locations.

If it was made by the BBC, why are there license issues stopping it being shown on their i-player?, maybe it was made by an independant company who still hold the copyright?
Always remember, nature is in charge, get it wrong and it is you who suffers!.

Licensing is a tricky thing. It may be that one of the actors or possibly Eric Clapton who did the music has not signed a new agreement to allow this to go online. Remember that when this was made there was no internet.

Today I spoke to one of the two people who selected the locations - Mat Irvine. He was responsible for all of the effects and models including things like the water rushing through the underground passage. He told me that the prime location was Manod. This wasn't just used for the familiar shot of the entrance of 'Northmoor' but also for the majority of the underground shots, including the flooding. The model of the nuclear cooling ponds was also shot at Manod and not in a studio as I had assumed. There were a small number of shots done at Clogau but nothing was shot at Gwynfynyd. He's still got the original location reports including recce photos.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
