I see adverts for a new series called "Coal" on Discovery

Coal will follow coal miners who work at a small company in Brady's Bend, PA as they compete against larger coal-mining companies to find new deposits to supply buyers, according to The Reporter. As if racing against companies with more resources weren't bad enough, the boys in Brady's Bend also regularly deal with gas explosions, roof collapses and dangerous machinery.

After the farce of the gold miners what do you fear for this docu-drama. Bearing in mind how strongly pre scripted they can be. 😢

watched it - its pretty much as you'd expect.

Lots of little things all bigged up to make it sound far more dramatic than it need be.

Much of it performed with a fine disregard for H&S. Well it is the good old US of A!
The finest workers in stone are not copper or steel tools, but the gentle touches of air and water working at their leisure with a liberal allowance of time.
