Go on then... odds of the Hartside pass being clear next Tuesday morning around 9am 😉

The web site http://www.cybermoor.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=3&func=view&catid=2&id=32538  says all roads currently open, but that was on the 16th December.

Anybody care to have a punt?

The A69 then back down through Alston might be a touch friendlier.

From darn sarf there isn't really a viable alternative route I don't think? Not without a massive detour further north?

Its not a route I would ever have need to use but I'd reckon that the A69 would put little more than 20 minutes or so onto the journey. Certainly much less of a diversion than the alternate routes to Corris via Humberside & Liverpool City Centre used by certain nameless imbeciles (Twigg/Levett).

Yeah, and you got in a through-trip (Mersey Tunnel) before anyone else had even got underground.

A fair point well made Mr Twigg! I have been told by my boss that the roads are not getting gritted around here anymore as supply has been diverted elsewhere, how true this is I have no idea.

Simon, I'm sure you'll be able to plough through Heartside Pass in your Landy with no trouble, especially after your performance getting us to the top of Ratgoed.

I thought he drove very well despite the arctic conditions. No matter how many dead-ends he drove us up and no matter how many wrong turns he made at no point did we fear for our lives. Well not too much anyway.

hmmm, that's filling me with confidence! Simon's kindly driving us up to Nent.. so maybe i'd better stop insulting him (till we get back anyway!)
