December 21st 1910 exactly 100 years ago today at 7.50 am
344 men and boys lost their lives at Pretoria pit on the Westhaughton/Atherton boarder it's a well documented tragedy i know .
One young lad of 17 went down the pit for his first shift on his first day at 7.30 am never to return
but there was a nice little piece on granada reports up here rememberence services in churches and schools in the area brass bands etc Nice to know people still remember and should never forget
