Hi all,
Theres a mines rescue unit in the lakes/ pennines which currently covers old mines and caves in the area.We currently have 20 members on our call out list with an increasing age demographic!!! we are seeking to recruit new members. if you live within 1/2 hr of the above areas, have experience in old mines, are able to SRT, and are interested in this type of voluntary work please contact me with initial enquiries.

Im sure you'll have no problem getting new members from here theres plenty of experienced mine explorers who use this forum that might be able to assist you. might also be worthwhile asking on the mine-explorer forum as well.
cheers Marty

I would happily volunteer but I'm a little too far away (near Durham City). Hopefully moving into Weardale / Teesdale eventually, I'll sign up when I do
