Hi All,
What's the access situation at Windegg?

Thanks,

Chris.

Call at Shaw Farm just below the road according to the now ancient Northern Caves 1 though I've not heard of anyone doing that.

We were there last weekend & the farmer didn't shoot across when those who weren't wise enough to make the most of a gloriously sunny day went underground.

Thanks for the info.

No none of us are overly tall. Sounds like a fun entrance mind!

I did know about the info in NC1, but wasn't sure how up to date it is. Sounds like it's not up to date, but I might pop in as a courtesy measure.

Has the entrance pipe changed much?
We were last in a 'few years ago' and in order to make sure the larger members of the party got out we threw down a short electron from surface.

Did it last week, can see it would be quite a chew on without a short length of rope lashed from the fence.

Chris, that is exactly what we did with a short electron, and even then the younger members of the team had to give some members a distinct pull up.
I assume the pipe access is the work of Earby, unless someone knows otherwise.

10ft of knotted rope and you'll be out like a rat up a drainpipe.

From the collective evidence oif last week I'm guessing that rats aren't that good at this whole drainpipe malarky?

I went to the farm first time I went to Windegg, the owner seemed a perfectly nice man who was knowledgeable and happy to talk about his area.
