Wookey Hole Caves are advertising in newspapers and local job centres for a witch at a salary of £50,000, to replace the previous one. This is a genuine job offer and details can be found in the Daily Mail on this website:-

They are seeking someone (either sex) to teach visitors about witchcraft and magic. They must be able to cackle, not be allergic to cats, feel at home underground, and be prepared to work during school holidays, weekends, Halloween and Christmas. Anyone fancy applying?

I would not mind that job for £50.000. I was always a fan of 'the wizard of Ozz' and the wicked witch of the North.

I once picked up a woman hitching on the A30 who told me she was a witch. Later on she whispered in my ear and I turned into a layby! 😮 :lol:

Ye appointment of ye olde Wytche be covered on ye ITN news...

Loads of applicants with some real witchy looking characters.. some real old crones, some very definately frightening candidates.. and guess who won and got the job...

Yes a local girl from Somerset won, who just happens to-

A, Be Quite Attractive,
B, Be Blonde
C, Be Quite Fit
D, Not be backwards in coming forwards
E, Have bought her costume from the local fancy dress shop
F, Be totally not frightening
G, Not be able to scare Scooby Doo
H, Looks like she's played with a few wands in her time

In fact not very witchy at all... but the number of male visitors should improve!!! 😮 😉

JR that proves it... My first wife was an estate agent and she was a definate b***dy witch....

Shame they outlawed burning at the stake.... when we were out I think she used to wonder exactly what I mean't by, "fancy a steak" .... she asked me once if I was being horrid and thinking of burning her at one... how I laughed and replied lying thru my front teeth, "of course not dear".. which was true, the stake i was imagining was about 2 foot long, oak and involved her and a hammer!!! :lol:

I really wanted to use my "I'd hit that like a ginger stepchild" line, but sadly, she makes art department freakery seem dilute.
