I watched this tonight but it's repeated on BBC4 and available via iplayer. A fairly long section on Old Gang lead mine and some details on the practice of Hushing. Worth a viewing IMHO.

I caught the last 15min of this, nice to see the mines. It is a shame that they never get the presenter into the mine on these sort of things, because I bet everyone was wondering what it was like inside. Same thing happened when she did Catbells in the Lakes, not a glimpse in.

Mind you it would be a H&S mine field 😉

I suspect that they find it easier to film her bum when she's walking up hills than they would in the dark which appears to be one of the key elements of the whole series. That's not necessarily a complaint.

Still, she should be in the Cleveland Hills in the next episode or two. Maybe they'll drag her into one of our lovely jet mines....

I saw it, as well as the shots of Julia's arse there were some good shots of the mines in Gunnerside & Old Gang. The old clips of Wainwright doing the same walk were also great 😉

Doubt it mate, though it would be nice to see her in a wetsuit covered in mud 😉

met her on the day of filming when we were on a meet at Swinnergill last September. Her crew walked down but she got a lift in a helicopter, I wanted her signiture on my helmet but it was too dirty, the helmet I mean.

Just watched it. Loved the old American guys take on not planning too far ahead at his age - "don't buy green bananas" 😉

The latest episode - Mowbray to the Moors - followed the Rosedale Railway from Blowarth Crossing to Blakey but failed I thought to make enough of it, particuarlly given that they have clearly have use of a helicopter. Shame really.
