Possibly Fall Hill / Hogsland Mine(s).
Only seen photos in books, but the sough is meant to issue water.
Is it up by the limekiln?

Not sure about any access to some of the workings in the area, but some of the quarries met the old lead workings
I went in a mine once.... it was dark and scary..... full of weirdos

I had seen photos of those arches before, I thought they were limekilns but I wasn't too sure about it. They were on the list to take a look at.

Hogsland Mine is the shaft location (check co-ords not the google map pin). Fall Hill Mine is not of the list (although the quarry is)

IIRC, this area used to belong to Collette Egan, an impressive Lady!!! (the owner of the adjacent quarry) I suspect that she has now passed on but don't know succession details.
Anyone got access to Clay Cross Company records?, I know they where interested in the area.

That's a pair of lime kilns you've been looking at - Hogsland mine was further down the road, near the big flooded opencut but is now inaccessible due to someone building their garage over the shaft....

The strange thing is - the geology maps have a shaft located at the limekilns (I assume this is the same place)

The line of Fall Hill Sough also passes under this site (the tail is on the other side of the road).

The limekilns are only likely to go back a few metres
