So Very Foolish A History of the Wherry Mine, Penzance

Peter Joseph, A5, SB, 48pp – £4.99 + P&P .

Like quite a few I was aware of the mine but knew little about it I have seen references etc and when in Penzance have discussed where it was but now its all put into context by this book (following is publishers info)
Through the long history of Cornish mining the extraction of metals was undertaken in some remarkable locations but none was stranger than the Wherry Mine at Penzance. With its shafts some 200 yards offshore in Mounts Bay linked by a timber trestle to its machinery on dry land, the Wherry Mine resembled more a seaside pier than a working industrial site.

The unique nature of the workings meant that contemporary travellers in Cornwall took note of the Wherry Mine and some recorded their impressions, but curiously there has been no attempt to record its full history to date. Local mining historian Peter Joseph, who has made a particular study of Penwith’s mines, has now put right that omission and given this small but very special mining enterprise its own memorial. So Very Foolish: A History of the Wherry Mine, Penzance

Don't understand that one done it myself and had no problem - as the website is new you probably needed to renew you password. If you want to give me a ring 01952 405105 I can take orders over the phone. Although I need to see you with my Trigon anyway so maybe pop over next week?

Possibly some room for improvement then, shipping address etc is stored in the Paypal account and Paypal is very secure from the point of both buyer and seller, thats why its so popular. Ease of use, 10 out of 10.

Every year i come to renew car and motor insurance using my credit card, here are the hoops I have to jump through:
Full cardholder name and address (so my insurance company doesn't know where I live and they insure the property!), card number, expiry date, security number and then I think the jobs finished, oh no, they want the bloody Verified by Visa password as well.
Easiest on line credit card transaction I do is DVLA!

I have had to re order the book such as been demand I will contact you once they arrive which should be next couple of days

I don't quite understand why there is a problem, its just setting up your account in order to get a delivery address remember its a new webstore. As for paypal payment you have the option to be a guest using a card rather than a paypal account so that may again require details. If you can show me what you have encountered in order I can understand and get it sorted.
