A new event has been added to the Events page.

Event name: Moel Fferna 2013 Return Trip

Date & time: 04/08/2013 at 09:30

Details: A return trip to Moel Fferna, just a few weeks after we were last there!
A few folks couldn't make the last trip and have asked for a return visit. There has been a fair bit of interest, so here it is!
Moel Fferna is a very unusual Slate mine, having a near horizontal vein making it feel very much like a coal mine. It is also very photogenic with a few unusual features, so worthy of a photo trip even for those who have been before.

Sorry but I cannot come. My mistake that I thought we were going underground on the Saturday. I am booked into the Faenol classic car on Sunday. Bit pissed off really that I have been so bloody careless. Must be something to do with my age! :curse:

Wish I could come but not easiest place to get to 😛 would be great for SRT practice though

The first trip there I ever did as a few on here may remember was a nice liesurely 4x4 ride up (when you could) with a 4 hour get out, from the base of the shaft!

Ahh the old days... Then the best day ever was installing that ladder 🙂
