Event name: First Aid for Underground Explorers (2 days)Date & time: 09/07/2011 at 09:00Details: This course is designed to meet the needs of those whose leisure or work takes them away from immediate assistance into the more remote regions of the UK, and more specifically into underground mines or caves. Assessment and AccreditationThe awarding organisation for this qualification is ITC First Aid Ltd and this qualification is also accredited by the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority). It has been developed with their support to meet the requirements of the worker or practitioner in Scotland's outdoor environment; however this course is recognised throughout the uk.
It is composed of 2 units for assessment, although the content from both units is typically delivered together, integrated throughout the course so that the course is relevant for, and aimed at, the underground explorer.
The 2 mandatory units making up this course are:
Unit 1 Emergency First Aid Skills :
This unit can lead to a qualification suitable for Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE) purposes and this additional certificate will be included at no extra charge on this occasion.
Unit 2 First Aid for Incident Management:
Completion of this unit content leads to the full ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid qualification.
