Croesor - Rhosydd Through Trip

Most on the CRTT will be camping in Maentwrog, but a few others are making their own way.

We will meet up at 10am at the Cwmothin car park http://www.multimap.com/s/hue1Z82N

It is about an hours walk up from there to the mine. Looks like it's going to be a hot day...

The group is:

bri hache
christwigg
james cartwright
jones the slate
lukehas
NigelH
owaincbrown
owaincbrown
owaincbrown
jcam
RichardLevett
RJV
RockChick
simonrl
tracyclimber
Vanoord
Purple Moose (?)

Due to group size, we'll split into two groups. Which I'm afraid means half of you will have to suffer Vanoord 😉

Kit

Full SRT kit needed for this trip. And it is strongly advisable to bring an extra long (1m to 1.2m) cowstail or sling. This is to clip into the safety lines on the bridges, which particularly on the last bridge goes way over your head.

Inflatable boats (2 per group I suspect) and pulley will be provided.

Croesor and Rhosydd Through Trip (non SRT)

I think this is still going ahead. Although only two people signed up.

jaiyls
steve turbo
DylanW (?)

If it's going ahead then shall we see you at the car park?

BBQ

Then back to the campsite for the BBQ.

Hymac530c has talked to the Creosor farmer and says its OK to drive up, I could bring the 110 if we need a 4X4 bus?

"I have just spoken with the farmer from Croesor. He says it is allright to take vehicles up the track to Croesor quarry on the day. So if you want to you can drive up to the quarry which would save a lot of walking."
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.

Did think about that. But not everybody knows how to get to Croesor village, and with perhaps 20 people it would mean rather a lot of cars, which might be pushing our luck a bit.

It would save the walk up, but you'd still have to walk back from Rhosydd back to Croesor.
