Hi there,
Im trying to find some info about the coal mines in maesteg and was wondering if anyone had any info?
If anyone could help i'd be greatfull.
I use to live in caerau and knew a man named jack morgan also known as arthur morgan from railway terrice who was a coal miner he sadely passed away in 1994. He got me intreasted in coal mines. so any info would be great, im also trying to reasurch about him.

I may be able to dig up some pics taken at various North's sites in the30s.
I'll have to speak to some relatives.
Edit: I worked with a lot ex miners from the area in a local paper mill, also a few ex railwaymen from Cymer, Tondu etc.
