Thank for posting the photo. I remember going down the Elephant hole with my mates in the early 80's when I was about 14 but we only went east towards the end of the quarry. I guess the hole was created when the roof of the tunnel collapsed at some point. It's a shame they sealed the entrance but I suppose they had too, I remember the cliff above the hole was over vertical and it would have probably collapsed by now anyway.
