I recently came across an illustration in grahami's Personal Album of a Brandt Drill (below)

I've since come a similar illustration in The Engineer of 1905 (below).

Although the two machines are different (the version in The Engineer lacks the flywheels on the hydraulic motors and there are detail differences in the drill rams, the undercarriage and the beam) the two machines are shown in essentially the same 'pose'.

Are the illustrations of different machines or is the upper one an 'artist's impression' of the lower one? Considering the similarities of the illustrations, did they originally came from the manufacturer's publicity material?
