Is there anyone with a car and living on the north Wales coast who is thinking of booking on this? Bala isn't exactly well endowed with public transport 😞 and I'd need a lift if I went.

Yes, me!
(I haven't booked yet as I need to check an event at work first.)

Well I am going. It's on a Saturday and Bala is just on the other side of the hill. 🙂

Dunno - I would hope it would cater for beginners, but that it would also be helpful and structured to fit the mix of people who book on it.

I will ask Mike McCombe and post the result here.

I went on a similar event organised by the Cambrian chaps a couple of years ago, it was very good and people at all levels attended.

Some more information (supplied by Mike McMcombe):

The course level will be tailored to suit the attendees on the day.

There will be a limited stock of SRT kits for people to use on the day if they don't have their own. If anyone needs kit they should tell Mike at the time of booking.

The possibility of accommodation at Rhos y Gwaliau is being looked into and more details will follow, but it would be useful if anyone who might want it could email Mike.

I understand from CCC Secretary Mike McCombe that there are still some places available on this weekend.

Just a quick note to say that this training session was excellent. The 4 instructors and 10 trainees were a bunch of the nicest people you could hope to meet. The weather was perfect on the Saturday for the outdoor training session at a high ropes course near Bala. Then on the rainy Sunday we were underground (in rather familiar surroundings!). That's what I call planning!

So huge thanks to all the instructors for giving up their time and for being so patient with us.

Brilliant weekend. The course was well planned and thought out. The instructors were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing which gave us good confidence to do all the different tasks on the ropes. Plenty of ropes and different obstacles on site. Thanks for the use of the brand new srt kit.
Good luck with future courses which I would give full recomendation.
Now we can go and play Batman, Spiderman etc etc...
