I'm doing the final weekend of the Cave Instructor Certificate assessment on the weekend of 19th and 20th December in Derbyshire. For this I have to show that I can teach a small group of people SRT skills and allow them to put them into practice with a trip underground. I have to supply a group for this and two of the people who I did have lined up to teach pulled out yesterday. I therefore need a couple of people (totally or fairly new to SRT) who would like to spend the weekend learning and putting into practice SRT skills. For someone this could be a very good opportunity to get a weekend's quality SRT training and an excellent vertical trip.
If necessary I can provide all caving kit including oversuits, undersuits, helmets, lights, wellies, SRT kits. Everything..! Just need people who are keen and available for the whole weekend. Accommodation can be easily sorted on the Saturday night for anyone who's not local. Unfortunately it's not possible to just do one of the days so you need to be available from 9:00-5:00 both days.
