The caption in this photo says Black, Chinese and White laborers in a gold mine in South Africa between 1890-1923. No named mine so can't upload it to a mine.
But it's an interesting facet of history because cheap Chinese labour was not deliberately introduced to the Rand until after the war causing political mayhem so 1890 may be a little early. That's not to say of course that some Chinese labourers may have been there earlier but I'm doubtful. Anyway I think it quite an interesting photo because to a certain extent it sums it up in one photo.
