Unless some *serious climate* change has occurred, this isn't a coal mine in New South Wales! :lol: Looks instead suspiciously like Mirny diamond pit, in Russia?

That does look more like a Kimberlite Pipe and not a coal mine.

I think it's correct that this mine is in Australia?

Are they all wrong does anybody know? Or is it just the last photo of the big hole in the ground that is wrong?

I don't know that mine myself but the entire internet seems to confirm it is Mirny. I think the evidence in this case is strong enough to say it is. You have my blessing! ::)

A glance at Google Earth and comparing the street layout would appear to confirm that hole is indeed Mirny.
