Assuming what was shown on the video is accurate, one thing our Canadian cousins, have somehow managed to do is to prevent the daubing of the walls of the opencut with slogans and other graffiti.
My question is how do they do that?
Watchers of this site will know the problems we have in Smallcleugh and other Mines, with wall daubing and yet the Canadians do not seem to be doing it!

Its probably a culture thing
Issues with this at Nenthead pale into insignificance compared with anywhere within easy driving distance of London.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

Hi Roy,
It is just not a U.K. thing either.
Road signs in Ireland are often illegegible, not to mention the same thing in Cyprus, and on a recent visit to Northern Italy, whole areas of the side of the road were covered in graffiti.
Just maybe the Canadians are doing something right, or it is too damn cold for long periods of time!

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
