The new BBC Scotland channel has a programme about stone skimming. There could be some views of the quarries for anyone who has not been there.

We stayed in a Welsh town over Christmas and saw some old boy skimming stones on a lake, I couldnt believe how good he was so stopped and chatted to him, he said he was a National Champion and his name was Ron Long, "check my website" he said, "I am known as Ron Long Old tosser" well I checked it and he was indeed a National champion tosser, Nice bloke too.

I completely forgot to record the programme so I could watch later but sure it will be repeated.

It's on iPlayer for the next 3 weeks or so.

It's worth going there regardless of stone skimming for the delights of the Bridge over the Atlantic, the Pub of Trousers and the ferry over to Easdale as well as the quarries.
