Interesting programme just been on BBC Alba about industrial history of the Scottish Highlands. It is in Gaelic but subtitled. Not particularly impressed with the actual standard of the production but lots of footage of industrial, mining and quarry sites in the Highlands and Islands.

Should be on BBC iPlayer.

Quote:

DOCUMENTARY: Bha Uair Eile Ann
On: BBC Alba
Date: Sunday 28th April 2013 (1 minute left)
Time: 21:00 to 22:00 (1 hour long)

Ged is docha gur e croitearachd is iasgach is trice a thig gu inntinn dhaoine nuair a theid gniomhachas agus sgirean na Gaidhealtachd is nan Eilean ainmeachadh, bha cuideachd gluasad gniomhachais san eachdraidh cuideachd. Tha am program seo a' dol air toir na comharran a th'air fhagail agus a tha ag innse a sgeulachd fhein mun a sgire. Crofting and fishing are the standard images of Scotland's Highlands and Islands, but these often remote places have also been the scene of industrial revolution.

At the moment it is showing as 'Not Available' on iPlayer rather than 'Coming Soon' so I wondering whether it might not appear there. I can never work out the logic behind which programmes appear on iPlayer and which do not.

Pity if it does not go online though it is several years old and has been on every year or so.

Me neither. BBC Alba's I-player seems to randomly select a few things and then keep them up, they used to dub a fair few Irish Gaelic programs too
