Hello everybody I am doing some research on a
Local mine that was built in the 1870s it was only used for a short time had a small tramway system outside of it doesn’t specify a closing date I no the addits was visible in the 1920s my book states and was sealed in the 1950s , it holds a lot of historical interest to me I have been to the local archive centres before the lockdown cold find no information on this atall just wondering if their was any of routes of research /sites people could recommend me searching on please

Your not even telling us where it is which makes it more difficult to point you in any specific direction.

Generally, mineral stats, Mining Journal, and press archives. Plus National Archives on line search on any known mining companies, historic maps for surface features.

If its not on here, as soon as you have some details it would be a good idea to add it. But beware alternative names.

Do have a NGR, FlashEarth or other means of location?
