I have been mooching around there and from looking at the mine plan am somewhat puzzled.

From the plan I assume that the pink section inc the outer drainage adit is the workings most visited. But what about the large blue area to the west?

Is this beyond the blockage in the drainage adit inbye, near to the opening to the pit with all the artefacts?

If so, is there another way in? Why no one tried to clear the blockage?

Or does the way on lie behind the rock falls brought down by the waterfalls in the artefact pit?

Any info much appreciated.

The blockage that is on the dogleg in the tunnel between the 2 workings? It's what's holding back the entirety of the flooded Aberlas workings that are dived regularly. Most of it is underwater. PM me if you're going there, I'm somewhat local.

We don't need any more deaths in that mine. The diver that died about 5 years back was in the Aberlas workings of the mine.

I have been having a photo shoot with all the fancy lighting, I Imolent DX80, 1 x fellows torch 9k lumens, 1 X16 caplamp 9K lumens.

In previous threads people have commented that the air is full of dust making photography difficult, I had no such problem.

Below. DX80 round the corner, Roy torch shining into the water.

It's not dust, it's moisture. It's like walking through a fog sometimes. can vary daily, usually worse in the main haulage than the chambers.

Roy the dig would be in the area you go into under the waterfall, but a head of suspended water

We also had a go at digging into the chambers where the diver died
