Hello all

Just wondering if anyone on here has ever been down the bat castle up the hill behind hafna mine, gwydir forest.

Someone has cut a bar away to access it. Where does it lead to?

Do you mean the compressed air shaft? I did not cut the bar but I have been down it. A long and lonely descent using most of a 50m rope which did not give access to anything else.

If it was connected I assume it would have the same water level as the adit entrance?

We had a look on the hottest day of the year the other week and there was the most gorgeous cool breeze coming out of the adit.

There is "the most gorgeous cool" neck deep water inside the adit! And a refreshing gorgeous cool abseil through a very invigorating waterfall. :lol:
