Cracking bit of filming of my local mine there Paul! Well done. Not the biggest of mines but it's an easy trip for beginners and difficult to get lost in.

Thank you sir pleased that you enjoyed it, it was a great trip on Xmas morning followed by a nice dog walk in the woods over the road and then back to Rowen where we stop for a lovely Xmas dinner. Its a easy place to do imagery as well because of the light substrate it doesn't zap the video light strength as most places do . Can you PM me if you know anything about the other place down the road ?

Going way off topic and into a different region Paul, but do you know whether anyone's ever tried diving Earl Ferrers Mine at Staunton Harold?

From what I understand, they're around SK375217 between Calke and Staunton Harold in a limestone outlier. The lakes there are flooded quarries but there were underground galleries and the lead veins were cut by these. I've yet to get down that way for a look myself but if I do, I'll put something up here

Thanks for the video, it's nothing short of mesmerising! With these long, hair thin mushrooms and metal spikes, it looks straight out of an old survival/adventure video game
By the way, I've got a couple colleagues who'd be interested to visit some mines in the UK, and we were looking at Wales due to the history of the region.

Of course, we're looking at something high end-ish in terms of comfort, since our wives and kids want calm countryside holidays while the fathers go for underground shenanigans!

A good area to be looking around within easy reach of a LOT of mines in North Wales would be around LLanrwst you are within striking distance of a LOT of world class mines , we personally stop in a beautiful village of Rowen which the North Wales guys on here will also say is very nice. This area is also near to the coast for trips with the family. You have a couple of houses on your list in Cardiff that is to far away it may look close if you are say from the States or Canada but it is not doable in a day to get up to the mines of North Wales . South Wales has caves not mines . We are in South Wales next week caving and cave diving

Where are you from ?
